Description

Records of 23 plant and chromist specimens held at the Mystic Seaport Museum. Seaweed specimens were collected in 1850 in New London, Connecticut, USA by Anna Maria Avery. Plant specimens were collected by Connecticut whalers John O. Spicer and George Comer in the Baffin Island, Eastern Arctic region in the 1890s. Geographic and temporal data is based on handwriting on collection pages, within historical documents like logbooks, and other sources.
