  <abstract>
    <para>The mission of the Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory is to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research focused on the coastal and marine ecosystems of the Wider Caribbean that contribute to solving the ecological problems of the region by providing the scientific underpinnings for informed policy decisions. This dataset contains taxonomic and geographic data for the FSUCML Zoological Collection. The collection contains a variety of preserved specimens that were collected during research projects conducted by faculty, postdoctoral associates, graduate students, and undergraduate investigators from the FSUCML, from Florida State University, and from other universities throughout the world. </para>
